Got to give credit to the players and coaches. I did not expect to be here. Granted it's still early, and I don't expect us to finish with a winning conference record, but it's a nice little turnaround for us. Hopefully we can ruin some more of our conference mate's seasons. Most notably CSU.

Winning at Viejas on Tuesday will be a tall task. They are a far better team than we are, and I truly can't remember the last time we won there.

We can make it competitive with CSU at home on Saturday, but we are going to have to have one of our better efforts to have a chance. Hopefully we can win the home game because I don't see us being able to get the W in Fort Collins.

For once shock the world on Montezuma's Hill at Viejas and beat them pesky Asstecs

I looked it up. The last time we beat SDSU in Viejas was January 3, 2007 by a single point.

17 years since we have won down there…wow.

We are shooting 39.8% from 3 on the year which is good for 8th in the Nation. Which is an amazing stat and a big turnaround from recent years. We will need 40+ percentages to win against anyone other than the basement of the MWC; but this team is a lot better and more fun to watch than I predicted a few weeks ago.

On the flip side of the coin, we average 14.2 turnovers per game which makes us just about the worst in the entire country protecting the ball (340th).

I would love to know (or maybe I wouldn't) what our winning % is in basketball and football in the state of California over the last 20 years.

That was the Brad Jones/Brandon Ewing team. Looking at the box score, it is hard to believe we won that game. Brad Jones went 0-8 from the field and finished with 1 point and 5 turnovers. Wyoming had 18 team turnovers and shot 28% from three. Somehow, we escaped with a one point win.

IIRC, James Spencer hit a shot at the buzzer ti win that game.
