Poke Pride 2012 Cowboys football season predictions

I was dead on last season saying the Cowboys would go 8-4 in the regular season and this year I believe they can do one better. A better bowl game than New Mexico is in the Cowboys future, I am later getting this up this year but I am running for City Council in Laramie and that is taking up a lot of time. Optimistic, but fun nonetheless.....10-2 is the best case scenario IMO. Vegas has never been nice to UW. Nevada IMO is a scary game.....coming off a bye week on the road against a power run team with a bad football field. Sound familiar?

That stretch from @Nevada to @Fresno will be the difference between 9-3 and 6-6 IMO. I got UW going 7-5....opting for San Diego instead of New Mexico this holiday season. Good chance they'd play BYU.

I agree Utah State's turf is atrocious, but rest assured Nevada replaced theirs in 2010 and it won't be an issue for any games at Mackay for a while.

Nevada designated this game for Homecoming week (because of historical precedent, not as a knock on the Pokes ), and it has all the makings of a great one.

I'm excited to see new teams in the MWC even teams that might not be the most amazing. Unfortunately the MWC is just becoming the WAC all over again but I think there will be some good rivalries that come out of this.
