As disappointing this season has been, the Poke football program is still showing signs of trending upward.

2002 2 wins. Vic's last year
Nuf said.

2003 4 wins
2004 7 wins (beat UCLA in bowl game)
2005 4 wins (after starting 4-1)
2006 6 wins (4 heartbreakers by a TD or less to Virginia, Boise St, AFA, Syracuse, but got blown out by TCU & BYU)
2007 5 wins (including TCU and Virginia, but blown out against NM, Utah (50-0 bird game), BYU)
2008 4 wins (beat Tennessee and SDSU, but point margin in losses were a staggering 27 per game..ouch) Joe's last year

Team trending towards 4 wins per year (11 wins in first 2 years, 10 in the next 2 years, 9 in the next 2 years)

2009 7 wins (Bowl win, wins were close, the losses were bad, killer schedule, but it was still a step in right direction.)
2010 3 wins (yuck, but at least we recruited Brett Smith that season!!!)
2011 8 wins (DC wins MWC coach of the year over Peterson and Patterson..team seems headed for a breakout year)
2012 4 or 5 wins (concussion derails a season that could have been a nice one.)

Team trending upwards (10 wins first 2 season2, 11/12 wins next 2 seasons) If the trend continues we could have....
2013 9 wins
2014 6 wins
2015 10 wins
2016 7 wins
2017 11 wins
2018 8 wins
2019 12 wins
2020 9 wins
2021 13 wins
2022 10 wins
2023 14 wins (yes we go undefeated, play 13 reg season games because of a road trip to hawaii, and win a bowl game)
2024 11 wins
2025 15 wins ( yes we win the National Championship with a plus 1 game)

haha, ok, back to current point I was trying to make...... this team is still trending in the right direction and I feel good about the future, we have lots of red-shirts that are studs and could have produced this year and will be a year studlier down the road.... Yeah we have stuff to work on but, I still think the future of UW football looks bright!

Don't let Wyovanion hear you say that, he is bound and determined that DC is done after this year and that we are on a downward spiral into oblivion.

Well, to be certain, as a pragmatist, I think DC's here for at least one more year, based on his perfection against Colorado A&M. Therefore, again, as a pragmatist, I hope the best comes of the situation. That being said, I'll still pin my expectations on DC's overall performance the past four years, hoping (there's that word again- comes up a lot when discussing Cowboy Football the past thirteen years) to be pleasantly surprised come the end of October, 2013.
