If it's done like that, i think you should still keep bowls for teams that finish 9-3 and 10-2 and don't make the playoff.
Agreed. Bowls can still be played, playoffs can still be done. I don't know about having the MAC/Sun Belt champ as an AQ as those teams are generally very weak even by non-AQ team standards, perhaps a play-in type game for them.. or leave it as is and let them get slaughtered.

Now that the BCS figures have been corrected and have moved BSU into 10th ahead of LSU I think they would have made the bracket of 16. LSU was the final at large team on the bracket but I assume they based it upon BCS rankings that were in error.
I think the BSU loss to Nevada just further proves how unfair the system is. BSU beat Va Tech. People argue about strength of schedule, I think it proves Va Tech would finish 3rd in the WAC.
I think Nevada deserves a BCS game over Va Tech, and Boise definitely deserves one over UConn.
