Anyone else notice a general lack of pass rush by the defense? It seems like unless it's an obvious passing situation, our d-linemen don't really get too close to the quarterback. I don't know if this is because of the 3-4 and they're sending the 4 linebackers out into coverage a lot, or they're protecting against the run, or it goes into the defense's bend but don't break mentality, where the goal is to not give up the big play and the first priority is to stop the run. I think this leads to a lot of the passing yards for quarterbacks, but also a lot of the interceptions, because if the quarterback makes a mistake, there's someone to bat it down or pick it off. Now, when they know its a passing down, and they send four guys - someone is in the quarterback's face, so you KNOW they can get to the quarterback.
