Boise State leads the MWC at #7. TCU at #15. Air Force the only other 2011 MWC team to receive votes. Future members Hawaii and Nevada received votes as well. Glad to see the coaches aren't drinking the BYU koolaid like some folks are. The Notre Dame fans are throwing a fit over their "low" ranking of #18. Even when they aren't the powerhouse they used to be, their still easy to hate.

They lost their star QB and RB that was able to keep the offense going.
Whoa...its way more than that! They lost their star LB, multiple lineman on both dies of the ball. I would mention their losses in the secondary, but they always suck at that position anyways.

Kaepernick's height, athleticism, and arm strength gave Nevada something they'd never had before. Much like Colt Brennan did for Hawaii. Nevada will be "alright" going forward, but they'll never be that good again. Expect a huge step back this year.

But if most preseason polls are based on past year's performance (and largely, they are) and history, wouldn't one deduct that Nevada should have at least gotten a little more love? Everyone knows Kaep and Vai Taua graduated, but still.. is there going to be that much fall off?

With AFA bringing practically everyone back from a 9-4 bowl win team, I think they got snubbed the most. They should easily be in the 20- 25 section of the top 25. Texas shouldn't even be in it at all! Everyone is calling for them to have another mediocre year. This is why i hate preseason polls! The polls shouldn't even start until week two of the season. that way you have an idea who should be where.
