OT: New LHS to be built

Link shows some designs for the new LHS. Today the bond issue was to be voted on, mainly for upgraded athletic and extra-curricular activities, which property owners in Laramie would be stuck paying the bill on.

Apparently, they are going to double the size of the school, making room for around 2000 students. Just in 2007 (year I graduated), we had around 700 students, total. For a school big enough to handle twice as many. I will admit, many things in the current high school needed to be replaced, and talk of a new LHS was happening back then.

They are the football ghosts of the Deti era! If they don't get things changed in a hurry that is all they will have is Ghosts and memories of the "glory days" LOL

Kinda like UW sports now?

I wonder under which scenario they would actually have 2,000 students. I think the highest enrollment ever ('86 or '87) was something like 1,100.

Laramie is growing, slowly, but growing.

2,000 will be hard to reach for a while. They will have 9-12 though I believe instead of the current 10-12 (which had the high of 1,100)
