OT: Hawaii pulling a CSU?

Island politics are much harsher with spending than Colorado....but Aloha Stadium is near being condemned. They will have to do something soon. Many fans are unhappy about a 20K seat decrease in capacity, but UH has never sold out the stadium consistently.

This will take years and many government meetings, but nonetheless an interesting read.

More like decades knowing island politics.

Much more of a need in Hawaii than at CSU.

Hughes is just fine and has been renovated already.

(Okay, I'll quit bitching about that...)

Wasn't Hawaii avging about 45,000 during the Jones BCS season and 9-10 win seasons
It was usually 40K...except for that 2006/2007 run, in which it was more. But UH fans are very fickle...averaged less than 25K last season, but anyone who watched those games knows you'd have to be delusional to think more than 20K fans were in that stadium for home games.

I think 35K is a good number....I think fans are mostly pissed because lowering the stadium capacity eliminates any fantasies of joining the PAC-XX.

Like that was ever going to happen. Wyoming has a better shot at joining the Big XII.
