Meh, I’m not sure why. They aren’t in the MW conference. By their choice. The end of the article states Barnes wants to rebuild the Pac12. Likely with MW teams.

Barnes can plan all he wants. They will not have any way to do so as the buyouts remain next year.

Plus if both schools should lose their lawsuit, there aint going to be much $$ for them to pay off any buyouts. If that happens, I suspect both will be begging the MW for membership invitations.

I wonder if schools leaving are still owed money due to current conference bylaws or if the two can change everything to where they get every dollar. I'd expect they'd try to minimize lawsuits and come to some kind of settlement
