Until the Wyo-Hawaii game, it's basketball season. Maybe the Pokes beat Hawaii and pull something out of their asses against USU in Logan to go bowling, but for now it's hoops season.
Pokes have a big game against CU coming up. This is a big test. CU is a good squad. But, we seem to have their number. Or at least Leonard Washington had their number...
Can Nance replace Leonard? I think so. But if he does, who replaces Nance's production? Hankerson?
Finally Grabau gets a chance to play CU. Didn't get to his freshman year, and only played like 2 minutes against them last season.
Could Grabau be our unexpected X-factor this season?
Or at least this CU game?
Shyatt said the team doesn't have an identity yet this year, well they better figure it out by Wednesday. (or is it Tuesday?)
Maybe the teams identity this season will be not having an identity. You know, instead of other teams knowing that we are going to just slow it down and play good defense, maybe one game we will run and gun all game and put up 80+ then the next game slow it down and play solid D all game, then the next game pound in down low to Cooke and Nance, then the next game have Grabau, Adams, and Sobey shoot 3s all game.
That would make for an interesting season with the Pokes. Never knowing what you are going to get.
I think that might be how it plays out actually.
Any ways...time for CU. Screw football.
