I think this probably belongs in the Off Topic Now.
I thought Memphis May Fire put on a good show and seemed to genuinely care to play Cheyenne. It was the first time I have seen them live. Impressive vocals. The Atlas is really a great venue and I am glad that they are using it to bring in rock bands. I didn't watch too much of the opening bands. I wasn't really into Bridges, but they had one really good guitar player.
Mostly, I just think its great that there are people taking the initiative to improve the music scene in Cheyenne! While I am getting older and I've always attended shows to watch the bands and have never been one to mosh, the new "trend" of swinging arms seems ridiculous to me. Maybe some of the younger generation can explain it to me? Doing that kind of stuff years ago probably would have led to some kind of ass whooping.
Finally, a good local metal/punk/rock band that has been playing the local scene in Denver for over a decade now and that really has flown under the radar due to their work committments is No Fair Fights.
