Saban does too. He commented on that last year. It really showed against A&M last year. Bama's normally brick wall defense got shredded. Samething happened to them against Utah in the Sugar Bowl in 2008.

"Is this what we want football to be?" Saban asked last fall. And at SEC media days, he continued the theme: "Should we allow football to be a continuous game? Is that the way the game was designed to play?"

Translation: I recruited the biggest, fattest, strongest lineman in the country and most ridiculously yoked-out 250+ lb linebackers in the country. They can't catch their breath after 5 plays, so I want to change the game so that I can continue to dominate and win the next 5 championships.

The forward pass used to be illegal too, the game evolves, deal with it.
