You seemed surprised by this, Dino, or maybe I'm "misreading" you.

I'd be shocked if it was televised and, to a lesser extent streamed.

I am a little surprised on one hand RTJ...on other hand it makes sense because they obviously wish to get as many people at The War that day as possible.

I kind of doubt the home crowd was even considered in the decision. Although, it wouldn't surprise me if that is the "official" reason.

Just goes to show how small time we are. In this day and age no TV or streaming of a game is unacceptable.

Doesn't help we are playing a shit opponent either. :?

What surprises me about it all is UW has had years and plenty help to be able to stream their own games and they still haven't made the commitment to do so. It's actually really sad that after all these years still nothing.

I could stream a high school football game with a cheap camera, a laptop, and a 5 Mbps broadband connection. There's no excuse for Wyoming not to be able to do the same.

I don't know, I would have liked to have seen some Wyoming media companies getting together and finding a way to televise the game to the state at least...but whatever.

No Shit!!! That's a great point. It's so easy to stream shit nowadays. The athletic dept. could even charge five or ten bucks for access to their stream. I'm sure a thousands of us folks would pay to watch a live stream. i just dont get why they continue to depend on others to telecast or stream games. They used to do it on occasion, but now they dont do shit. Even Spring games would make money. Doesnt the school have a film department where they could get students to do all the work?

Good points, there is really no excuse the athletic department could not stream this. Who can we complain to about this? Seriously our athletic department needs to know how unacceptable this is.

Umm, we are a unique school in a sparsely populated state. Not everyone gets WYO or Laramie so everything is harder for us. We can't just increase student fees and the legislature doesn't understand. On a per student basis, we stream more minutes per student than any other MWC school. We spend more on streaming per student than any other MWC school.
We have a strategic plan in place to get more streaming through mechanisms that are tbd.

Actually, there are non-stop excuses for everything.

I could understand if they can't get a camera crew there for TV, but to me, not offering a stream is unacceptable. That should be the minimum. Heck, my Division II alma mater streams every home event online.

They were able to overlay video and radio feeds for basketball games last year, so I don't get why it can't be done for football.
