No Josh Adams for NM on Wednesday

it used to be the AA South, i agree and hope it gets to that point again someday!!!

Isn't that the truth? I remember when even Benny Dees' teams would go down there and win. I'm not as pessimistic as others about this game. I just don't think NM is that good. If Hankerson and Granberry step up, we could be right in this thing at the end. A win tonight would be huge. I think it would catipult us into a very solid spot in the top 4 or 5 so we could avoid a first round game in the tournament. Speaking of which, I just booked my Vegas flight to get in on thursday morning. So I'm banking on us not playing in the 1st round.

Ah ha...so let it be known that if the Pokes end up playing in a first round game and lose, it is all bladerunnr's fault for the jinx. So it is written....

I like our chances at UNLV. Yes they have talent, but they lack in the coaching area (home losses to AFA and Nevada). My realistic prediction would be 1-2....but 2-1 could be achievable.

I like our chances against the Rebels as well. Any team with Heath Burman Schroyer on the staff has issues. We match with them well IMO.

Where do you see a great matchup?

Rebels struggle vs good guard play.. IE Jahi Carson, Deonte Burton, Cezar Guerrero, etc. If Wyo's guards get hot and can penetrate & hit from 3, then UNLV will have problems. Their bigs defend well

Realistically, I don't think the Pokes win any of their next 3 games. All three teams they will be facing have far superior talent and two of the games are on the road. Keep in mind, we have struggled mightly against teams less talented than us on the road this year. Yes, we did beat BSU on the road. The team deserves credit for gutting out that win, but BSU played one of their worst games of the season that night. The Cowboys played a part in them performing poorly, but they were just having an off night as well.

Even though SDSU is easily the best team in the MWC this season, I think that is our best shot at picking up a win in the next three games...mainly because it is in the AA. If I had to put a percentage on liklihood to win each game, I would say:

15% @ UNM
20% @ UNLV
25% vs SDSU

That's one win in every four games played at the AA against SDSU. Is next Wednesday that one game? You never know!

Pokes have played well in Albq and w/o Kirk playing the chances increase. Depending on SDSU's travel, that game could go either way. They have played well on the road this year, but Laramie travel gives them fits. UNLV is very up and down, more dangerous on the road for whatever reason. Rebs have found some consistency lately, playing their best ball now. When was the last time Wyo won in Vegas during reg. season?
