A horrendous game all the way around, including the injury to Brett Smith.

I don't wanna hear about officials and suspect calls or anything...except that Toledo handed us our collective asses today and deserved to win that football game.

The Pokes had no answer for Toledo's quarterback Terrance Davis, who was the best player on the field today, they were horrible on 3rd down conversions, had almost no pass rush, allowed 500+ yards of offense -- including 200 on the ground.

Before Brett was injured he continued for the 2nd week in a row to turn the ball over, the 2nd interception was telegraphed right into the arms of the linebacker who picked it...there is no balance to the offense right now...the Pokes running game scares nobody.

I opined last week that the team was too smug after the game against Texas, that when you allow almost 300 yards on the ground, when you fail to wrap up and tackle, and when you fail to get off the field on 3rd downs...to comment afterward that you felt you did well on defense, this is what annoyed me.

Thus far Tormey's defense is really no different than what they ran out there with Marty English - in fact through 2 games you could argue it might be a little bit worse overall.

A no excuses and totally disgusting loss with no silver linings to speak of at all.

A GREAT and very VOCAL crowd for the home opener, disappointed by a team that might have spent too much time reading their press clippings about how they might threaten to win the MWC.

You're a "national sports broadcaster" but can't even get the "best player on the field's" name right, and dismiss it as "whatever"

Yet you come on here and bitch and bitch and bitch, I like your radio show but come on man

I agree the defense = shit sandwich, turns and penalties another shit sandwich, but bitching at the fanbase? The thread of bitching about two ppl calling in show at 9 pm on Friday?

We all can agree the defense played like shit, referees didn't have their best game, the Tormey hasn't done anything good, but we still have 10 games to play. Most are very winnable, eliminate the mental mistakes and we win by two scores if not more. I think we still can still win 6-8 games... Another thing is the defense is still very young a lot of underclassman starting and playing so it will take a little time to overcome some of the mistakes we made but I am still hopeful w can.

Wtf happened....... this WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OUR BREAK OUT YEAR......0-2........maybe a good thing I couldn't stream this one?.......let's right the ship and enter conference play with this sh*t figured out
:tickedoff:

Hey Ass Clown and apparent sudden self proclaimed expert on the Pokes-

If Trey Norman doesn't STOP his route its a big catch and a big gain but he stopped running the route (probably because he didnt want to take the shot). Had nothing to do with telegraphing because the throw was right on the money like the earlier deep ball that he dropped. The second pick, the end man on the LOS dropped and they hadnt shown that at all in their first game or during this game. They guessed right.

Not impressed with you at all.

If you think the stuff Dino posts on here is bad, the personal messages he sends on here are absolutely disgusting and a joke for anyone that calls themselves a "national broadcaster". No way would I ever tune into his show and frankly I hope it goes away because I don't believe he represents our fanbase at all!! (and yes I made the mistake of listening to his show during my commute when we both lived in CO years ago)

His quote:
"A no excuses and totally disgusting loss with no silver linings to speak of at all"

Completely wrong!!
1) The offense showed a lot of good things.
2)Stuart Williams (former walkon that really didnt figure to be the starter) showed he can kick.
3)Chris McNeil showed he is back and is going to be a HUGE part of the Pokes offense (anyone that saw his injury last year feared that we may never see him suit up for the Pokes again.
4) We have the best WR depth that we have had in a long time. Even with Herron out, Claiborne has shown that he is more than capable.
4) and there are others...

Overall, Toledo is a good team and I thought a better team going into the game. I thought we would win based upon the game being in Laramie and based upon Toledo's travel and game last week. I still think that had Smith not been injured, we win that game.

For a guy whose trying to gain an audience to his radio show, you've sure got an attitude.

Why does he even want the audience? Has no ties to UW. Really strange to me.

Trying to gain an audience? Perhaps I need to draw you a picture next time?

I possess the largest audience of any show on the channel my show resides on amigo...the audience I am looking for is in regard to Mr Gagliardi's appearances on my show each Friday...period.

As to my ties to UW? I've been a Cowboys fan for at least 10 years and when living in Colorado I would make repeated trips to Laramie...I now reside in Wyoming, and is the state better for that -- or what?

You're a cowboys fan? You sound like a Toledo fan to me. Although a Toledo fan would have at least gotten the quarterback's name right.
