NM BOWL ROLL CALL

Sounds like many are planning on attending this one. I know I will be there with six others. I wanted to start this thread and see how many are going and then try and get a link-up put together sometime during the tailgate festivities.

Sound off if you are going and how many you are bringing.

If you are going to the official tailgate (11am to 2pm, cost is $20 if you buy tixs early, includes New Mexican buffet, live music, and three free beers), please post that as well. I was thinking of wearing a cheesy nametag with my screen name on it (to differentiate Wyonation folks from the GWG crowd). However, that might tip Jackal off and I will end up with a switchblade in my back. Maybe we can put together a photo op with DC, some of the team, or the cheerleaders?

Am trying to con one of the Lobo fans into bringing out his RV. If that comes together, I will post the details here. Mr. T has kindly agreed to sticky this so please add any suggestions and news as it comes in.

Hell yeah! Pokes going to a bowl!

Count me and 3 others in. Wouldn't miss it for anything.

I hope UW fans get off their asses and we have a good 12,000+ showing.

Me +1 also.

Where is everyone staying? I saw that the team is at the Sheraton and the UW travel packages are all over in Uptown. Where are the best bars in Albuquerque? Should I spend the money and stay downtown at the Hyatt, or should I book over by the airport/stadium. I don't know anything about Abuq. I want to be within walking distance from good bars.

i'll be there with 4 or 5 others. I'm wondering where to stay too. I'm looking at downtown or the knob hill area.

I picked the Ramada because it's cheap and closest to the stadium for walking distance. The sleep in is also close as well.

Yar! the Dread Pirate Cowboy be waying the anchor and hoistin' the brown and gold sails and bringin his Jolly band of 7 of the scurviest Pokes (nay they be scurvey Dogs cuz those be the enemy!)! I don't needs no name tags cuz I be wearing full Pirate rigallia! (or a Cowboy Hat....be easy to spots me either way!)

We selected the "TownePlace Suites by Marriott‎" because it was reasonably priced ($59) and looks like it's less than a mile to the stadium.

If you are looking for a hotel that is nice and within walking distance to great bars, I would stay at the downtown Hyatt. The downtown area of Albuquerque is nothing but bars and restaurants. I live in Albuquerque and will be bringing a group of 15 friends and family. Go Pokes!!!!!!

Unfortunately due to health reasons, I won't be there. I did however donate 2 tickets, so there will be people there in my place.
