Well...here is some information for you. I will link what I read yesterday & this morning as well.

First off, the AA that was accusing Locksley of sexual harrassment, etc., was settled with...meaning, there was some kind of out-of-court dealings, of which we will never know what.

Second, the WR coach resigned his position yesterday (Monday). He will still be paid through the year (salary), but is no longer an employe of New Mexico athletics.

Those things being said, I have not heard one word about the presser being cancelled or not. In fact, I would be surprised if it is cancelled. This will go one of two ways...either NM will stand up, and back Locksley, giving him a fresh start, or they will lop him, giving NM Football a fresh starts. I think personally, it may now be the latter (Locksley will remain on board), which is great news for Poke fans, as our winning streak will continue against them!

Here are some links, first one talks about the AA, second one about the WR coach:

Press conference to still be held, to announce Locksley's suspension. What a chicken-shit move...he should be LONG gone in my opinion. What other job (than in athletics) can you deck one of your subordinates and remain employed??? Especially after you told your AA she was old & fat...and had to settle out of court for that! Unreal. Shame on the Loblows, I have lost respect.

Source: Locksley suspended 1 game

New Mexico coach Mike Locksley will be suspended for the Lobos' Oct. 24 game against UNLV, according to a source close to the coach.

Locksley will be suspended without pay for eight working days and will not be allowed any contact with the team during that period.

Locksley is being suspended after the university conducted an internal investigation into allegations he struck his former wide receivers coach, J.B. Gerald, during a heated coaches meeting on Sept. 20.

The suspension does not have anything to do with legal claims made to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission by a former football administrative assistant. On Monday, the school had announced that Locksley has resolved "all legal claims" in that issue, although details were scarce in a statement issued by the university.

Gerald hasn't been with the Lobos since the dispute, which occurred a day after a loss to Air Force. Gerald has turned in his keys and university-issued cell phone, but remains on paid administrative leave.

After the fight, athletic director Paul Krebs issued verbal and written reprimands to Locksley. A day later, university administrators decided to investigate whether Locksley's actions violated policies against campus violence.

The punishment is expected to be announced at a 5 p.m. ET news conference.

Lobos assistant head coach/defensive backs coach George Barlow will serve as the team's interim coach during Locksley's absence.

Joe Schad covers college football for ESPN. Information from ESPN.com's Mark Schlabach was used in this report.
