New starter at Nose Tackle

Sydney Malauulu will be new starting NT over Appleby. He has decent size at 6'3 300lbs. I wish Appleby would put on weight he dropped to 260lb this year and that isn't going to cut it for a NT. Now if Bohl could get some linebackers that weigh more than 215lbs.

Appleby is closer to a DE size than a DT, let alone a NT. We know has good technique and goes hard, but he is just SO light. Malauulu at 6'3 300lbs is maybe a little light for a NT, but that is a MUCH better size for an interior linemen in general.

I like Appleby too, I agree it appears at that size it would be difficult to be an every down interior lineman. I find it a little shocking that he is down to that weight from 295lbs to 260.

NT is a crucial position against NM'S (and AFA's) run oriented offense. Gotta have somebody taking the FB every play.
