New Lineup.....please

After watching the Cal game I think it is time for a new starting lineup.
Dalton.....
Herndon.....
James.....
McManamen....
Naughton......
Late 1st half and most of the 2nd half this bunch not only had energy and fire, they rebounded and scored. JJ and Dalton are slashers, not to mention great passers. This bunch got a lot of second hand
shots. With Aka Gorski,Lieberman, Adams, and Moemeka off the bench with maybe a lead instead of a
large deficit this team could develop into something.

Agree. It's pretty obvious by now who should be starting and who shouldn't. Edwards needs to forget about the pg position and just get his best players on the floor as much as possible.

Agree on lineup change. But starting 3 "bigs" and 2 wings isn't the answer.

Yes those 5 should be rotation players.

The only answer imo is to decide if you are going to start 2 bigs or 1. Because what should happen is JJ and JM on the floor. Then they have to see if Adams defending the point can work. (It can).

mcM, JJ, gorski should start together. Make it hard to match up to those 3. If Adams can play with them that makes it nearly impossible for any team to match up 1-4. Give them Lieberman and 2 bigs and Wyoming is an easy team to cover.

I think Lieberman is just mis cast. I want him to play 10-15 mpg as s Brett mcFall type gunner. I want to see 5-6 3 balls. I don't want to see him trying to be the "pg"

Lieberman does not need to be shooting 5-6 3 balls per game. So far, through 5 games, he is 2/13 from 3, for a percentage of 15%. That is a liability in anyone's book. He should be a 5 minute per game guy to give somebody a breather, no more, no less. :twocents:

I wouldn't use the Cal game as a barometer of what moves need to be made. Let's be real, that wasn't a team we were going to match up against regardless of the starting five.

That being said, Leiberman clearly has issues that need to be addressed or he needs to have playing time taken away from him.

Maybe naught Naughton. The Swede instead. Dalton and Herndon can handle things inside, especially rebounding. With Gorski, you will have all 5 players that can drive to the hoop, with James and Dalton leading the way in this. Naughton only if the opponent has a super big causing trouble.

A couple of guys in the rotation better enjoy it this year because I think they may lose their spots next year, with three new freshmen and three guys coming off redshirts vying for playing time. I know a couple of the freshmen are likely redshirts but that still leaves four new guys and only two departing seniors.
