Need new bowl games

My review of the Poinsettia Bowl trip. Airline, hotel, transfers, pregame party: A+.
The Qualcomm stadium: F. I have have seen less rust in a junkyard. No wonder the
Chargers are leaving for LA. The bowl games should leave too.
The new stadium in LA for the Rams/Chargers has to be better than this. The only thing that is
good about the stadium is the location. The trolley has a stop right next to it.
If the Raiders go to Vegas and builds an indoor stadium, the Spud Bowl needs to move out of Boise.
Sorry if I go on and on, but California has a lot to offer visitors. Now if the MWC can get into the right
stadiums in California your bowl experience will that much better!

We sat in 44 club level and I was really surprised that a pro stadium would have such a sorry scoreboard and big screen. The screen was very close to what Wyoming had before the upgrade. We couldn't see the larger scoreboard, but there absolutely no information on the small board we could see. We had good access to food and beer if we wanted it at club level, although I neve left my seat until it quit raining in the 4th. The hotel was spiffy, and being right next to water and able to walk along the shoreline was nice.

Chargers are moving because the owner wanted the city to foot the bill for his future profits and less than 50% voted to do so. Just like St. Louis is still paying off the stadium they built for Kroenke's Rams, it would have been a bad deal for San Diego.

Talk about a big freaking scam.

IIRC Qualcom is 3rd or 4th oldest stadium in the NFL. The place is in dire need of renovation and has been for number of years.

Pretty sure it's one of the top reasons for the Chargers getting out of town.

As for Bowl location would be nice but they are probably under contract with Qualcom.

Yeah, it's really crappy - but why should the city build a new stadium for the team on the taxpayers' dime?

That's pretty much how it has and always will work. Sure there are some stadiums majority owned by corporations but taxpayers in the city where new stadiums are constructed always foot a hefty chunk.

I don't get the Boise bowl. Nothing says reward like playing in Boise Idaho in 10 degree weather.

Yeah, Boise's a pretty place and all, but... hardly a major winter destination. I mean, even CU would make a better location, and I don't think many Buffs fans would argue it would make sense to try and get one.
