Nebraska Fans Projecting 10k Red Clad Fans in WMS

I would guess UW will put the bleachers in the south endzone again like they did for the Texas game. That adds a couple thousand capacity. Sounds like several from Nebraska want to buy season tickets just so they get tickets for this game.

Shit I better put my money down. I want to be a first time season ticket holder :D

Wouldn't surprise me to see a lot of Nebraska fans. My sister was telling me Memorial Stadium has been sold out since the 1970's or something ridiculous like that. Of course she is a Cornhusker fan so I don't really believe anything she has to say anyways.

I can't believe they raised the price to $75.00 for this game. Youch.

Memorial Stadium has been sold out every game since 1962, which is a 311 game sellout streak.

I don't think all Nebraska fans think that 1/3 of the stadium will be red - just that overzealous fan that was a bit naive to how hard tickets will be to get.

I am not sure they will be that far off. I assume Nebraska' initial allocation will be 5k. They only need another 5k to get to 1/3 and I think a mixture of season ticket purchases by Nebraska fans along with some Wyoming fans selling theirs on the secondary market (Existing Wyoming season ticket holders can buy additional tickets, some might sell those) could get it close.

No one can ever deny how rabid the Husker faithful are. They will be out in force.

I look forward to it. Should be a fun atmosphere. Hope the game on the field is good as well.

I'm sure Nebraska fans would buy all the tickets they can...but how many tickets will be available. I'm not sure what a visiting team is allowed, but it seems 4,000 would be the limit. Add in the new CJC policy which allows a big time donor to get more tickets than an average donor. After all the CJC members are done, there might not be many tickets left after accounting for the students. It will be at this point a season ticket buying Cornhusker fan can get a non-visiting team ticket if they want to pony up. I don't see many of the CJC memeber allocated tickets being sold to Nebraska fans.....maybe some, but not many.

Come game day, I think we'll see something similar to what we saw during the Texas game.

Just FYI, but I think the 2011 Season Ticket Renewal forms will be sent out by the UW Ticket Office on Feb. 28th and the option to buy extra Nebraska tickets will be offered at that time. Not sure how many will be allowed for Nebraska fans to buy, but I think they will be sold through the Nebraska Ticket Office.

We only gave Texas 4,000 ticets for our game with them. So I wouldn't imagine Nebraska getting anymore...The only way we have more than 4K Red fans in the stands is if we have traitor fans who wear red that day.

That is my biggest concern. So many students here wear that horrid red PMS gear around campus. It will be a sad day in Wyoming football if the red outnumbers the gold on gameday.

When Nebraska played at Notre Dame, didn't Notre Dame stadium turn into the Sea of Red for a day?

But I don't think the AD department would let that happen here. Good thing I bought season tickets last year though, I like my seat.

Good memory. Here are a couple of pictures from that game in 2000:

Also, I hope you guys don't mind me lurking here. I have a somewhat vested interest in Wyoming football, as my fiancee lived in Worland until sixth grade. We plan on making the game next year and already have our hotel booked in Laramie. Looking forward to it very much.

We don't mind at all. Once in awhile we get a fan from an out of conference team that is rude (like when we played Virginia), but for the most part they have been welcome. I hope it is a good game and you enjoy your visit. The weather can be a wild card, but it was great through October last year.

I see it being more than 4000 tickets for Husker fans seeing how close (within 8 hours and 8 hours is a long time for that trip) the two universities are. I would imagine we will alot between 7000 and 8000 for Husker fans.

But we should feel that section also and leave them all outside having to listen on Y95 country, do we really want all of that red and black in WMS?

She's one of my people! I graduated from Worland in 2001.

Welcome to the board, we're happy to have ya.

Seems that the Husker faithful think that they will occupy 1/3rd of the available seats at War Memorial Stadium for our game in September. I doubt they will, but I imagine there will be a lot of Husker fans in Laramie, even if they don't get into the game.

Same shit as what the Texas fans said. I remember constant board battles on how some Texas douches thought they would put 12K (and more) in the War. Well...6K later (with added sections in the north & south endzone), that wasn't the case.

There will be 6K, sure. But that is it. Don't flatter yourself Nebraska fans, just because you put a bunch of red in South Bend when ND sucked balls.

N is for Nowledge?

Isn't there an allotment for how many tickets can be given to fans from opposing schools?
