My guess is the clippers, don't know why, but my gut tells me. I want him in a nuggets or laker uni though
I feel like Josh would've gone to the combine under last year's rules. A bunch of kids were able to attend the combine this year and still elect to come back to school, so there were less spots available for NBA-eligible prospects.STJ10 said:However, the difference here is the fact that Josh was snubbed on the combine invite. He wasn't able to showcase his skills for the scouts against top-flight competition.
Who is "they"? I wasn't denying that there are scrimmages, but rather "top-flight" competition (lottery picks) don't participate in those scrimmages. The talent level in combine scrimmages isn't "top flight", it's pretty similar to the quality of the portsmouth invitational (which Josh did compete in)STJ10 said:They do in fact, participate in live scrimmages. They replayed the combine today on TV. Check it out sometime. Plenty of scrimmages taking place.
Combine scrimmages are a definite step up from Portsmouth.cali2wyo said:Who is "they"? Thanks for the research, but still, on a quick glance not a single combine scrimmage participant was drafted in the first round either. Are we going to consider 2nd round prospects "top-flight"?joshvanklomp said:Combine scrimmages are a definite step up from Portsmouth.cali2wyo said:Who is "they"? Only two PIT participants were drafted, Abdel Nader (58) and Isaiah Cousins (59). A lot of the Combine scrimmagers were drafted.
Where is the Utah one? SLC I assume?joshvanklomp said:Sometimes Summer League rosters aren't announced until a day or two before teams begin play. As a reminder, there are three different summer leagues.
Orlando: July 2-8
Utah: July 4-7
Vegas: July 8-18
Many times, players have played for a team in Orlando and then play for a different franchise in Vegas. Essentially, these are tryouts for most guys. A summer league roster spot means very little in terms of security. For Gary Payton II, mentioned above, there is a little more security, but still not a lot.

Games are typically played at the Jazz practice facility if I am not mistaken. Josh will get his chance somewhere. Just more fuel for the fire in my opinion.joshvanklomp said:Where the Jazz playwyokoke said:Where is the Utah one? SLC I assume?
Only 4 teams there: Celtics, Sixers, Jazz, Spurs
Just looked it up. July 4-5 at the main Jazz arena, no games July 6, July 7 at the Utes arena (Huntsman)poke_addict said:Games are typically played at the Jazz practice facility if I am not mistaken.
Well it looks like I was mistaken. I know in the past a lot of the summer league games were at the zions bank center which is there practice facility. I went to a summer league game there once but that was years ago. Thanks for the update Joshjoshvanklomp said:Just looked it up.
