I think this is about right. I think Air Force or Nevada also might sneak into the NIT.
They're still filling out the rape forms at the police station after what happened to them in Hawaii vs. SMU. They're probably thinking about baseball, a sport they won the national championship in.BeaverPoke said:Fresno...they should just look forward to football season.

Not so sure why everyone here is automatically predicting us into the NCAA as of right now with the Martinez injury lingering. I think some of you are under rating Boise St. also. I think because of how well the MWC has done OOC that it will probably get 5 teams with an outside shot at 6. I think there is going to be some surprises in conference. Are we going to be one of the surprises ? Maybe. I can't pick us or anyone else yet until i see every start playing some conference games.
I am also not convinced of how good New Mexico is yet. Same applies with SDSU. I think UNLV is very very talented but something seems to be missing with them as well and I am starting to think it's their coach. Be a very interesting conference season.

gbpoke said:To me, unless something drastic changes, it would be hard to beleive that a conference in the top 2 or 3 in overall RPI wouldn't get 5 teams into the dance, especially when you look at the conferences around them and the number of teams they will put into the tournament. I would say that at the Big 10 (1 conf RPI) will get probably 6 or 7 teams in as well as the Big East (2 conf RPI). Even the ACC (4 conf RPI) will probably get a minimum of 5 or 6 teams in, so why wouldn't the MWC (3 conf RPI) get that many in, unless the selection committee isn't going to recongnize one of the top conferences as just that, and give them the shaft. The conference as a whole has done a great job of winning the big non-conference games that they needed to in order to put themselves in a position to earn the respect of the rest of the country, at least in my opinion.
