MWC/ESPN Deal

The biggest thing that bothers me about this deal with ESPN is that ESPN does not like Wyoming and will go out of it's way to keep us from getting games televised or else put them in a time slot that no one will watch. Watch and see what happens.

Haha, there's no group of ESPN execs having a meeting and saying "We need to keep Wyoming off the television."

They simply don't give two shits about Wyoming. To be honest, why would they? They aren't going to go out of their way to keep us out, but they won't go out of their way to get us in.

That may be true now, but after that debacle which was the first ESPN prime time televised night game against Utah at the War, in which the power went out at the stadium and totally messed up the game and their telecast, they went out of their way to keep us out of the limelight and off the tube. Wait and see, I'm betting they still have memories of that game and we will continue to pay the consequences for that game.

And I was a 14 year old usher trying to get money for my trip to Hawaii. I think the only place that had heating for awhile was the bathroom.

They've already said all 6 Boise homes games are going to be shown. One of those is against Wyo, so there's that. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it ended up being a tuesday or wednesday night game though. We'd still get the bonus though.

I believe it is about the same thing because ESPN was the sports arm of ABC at the time, but I think you are correct that this game was to be shown on ABC rather than ESPN.
