I am with you about DeRuyter not leaving, but maybe Wilcox will get the job at Washington. If I were a betting man, I would think that Peterson is their number 1, but who knows. I just hope that we are able to make this all happen and Wyoming football gets back on the right track and we announce Jeff Tedford as the next UW HC here soon.

At this point with their facility upgrades, talent level, etc. Washington is regarded as a borderline elite opening - probably the second most desirable to come open in the country this offseason after USC. I think that's why Peterson is listening and why the interest is mutual. But UW will get a lot of interest from very highly qualified candidates which is why I think Wilcox will just stick with Sarkisian at USC.

I think Coach Pete's a PNW kind of guy. He's had his opps to go to SoCal. I think he likes the more elevated living of the PNW. I think there'd be an outside chance in interest in UT. Austin's a very cool city and a great place to live. Not sure that the mid-west (Michigan, ND, tOSU) would really interest him too much either. I think Oregon and Washington are the two schools he'd legitimately consider moves to.

If I were Boise State right now I would be a bit nervous. But what happens if Peterson does leave, would Tedford be a candidate there? I hope not. Maybe Wilcox would be interested in the Boise State job.

That is timing! I am guessing that Tedford is not on Washington's short list either. So Doug Nussmeir is probably the next HC. Interesting.
