Mike Stoop??

Just because his name hasn't come up, doesn't mean he can't be the guy. He fits many of the criteria that Burman was looking for and he would be the FBS coach many wanted. Definitley is a big name type.

His brother is the big name. Mike didn't do very well at Arizona, not sure he could be successful at Wyoming.
 
His younger brother coached at Wyoming under Dimel. I think he would be a decent hire. Not out of the box but I think a former PAC 12 coach with high level DC experience makes him a decent choice. He also has extensive ties to the D1 coaching world.
 
Why would he suck at Wyoming, just curious? He had some good years at a traditionally bad football school. I would think he could bring in a highly qualified staff with his ties to the D1 world. I believe he could be successful here, but I would like to hear your opinion on why he would "suck" here.
 
I would be more comfortable with a Mike Stoops hire than the Babble dude we're hearing about today, or Bohl. Stoops has the recognition to get media covering us more, and to reinvigorate recruiting. With the type of ea coverage, hopefully it would get the monkey circus UW administration to treat our Athletics Department properly.
