Kind of counterproductive (to what we UW fans really want) don't you guys think?

Our hurdle is BSU and SDSU.

How P5 schools recruit is irrelevant.

The only question is: "are we recruiting sufficiently well enough to be on the proper trajectory to catch BSU and SDSU". The key word is trajectory. We first must recruit well enough to surpass the likes of AF, CSU, UNM, USU, etc. For the latter, I think we are.

Success needs to happen within 4 years. A conference championship or NY6 bowl doesn't. By 6 years or so, we should certainly be conference champs or at least within a game or so.

On the flip side, if we are still bottom half of MWC after 4 years or barely sneaking in a bowl game after several blowout losses and a few squeakers against garbage teams, then it isn't working.

This is a good and fair post. Bohl needs to at least be within striking distance of a bowl in 2016, and if they miss at 5-7 we should be able to say "Well, they lost by 3 vs. ____ and 7 to _____ so we were really close" AT THE VERY LEAST. If this team wins 4 or less again in 2016, then it's time to worry. Not panic, but worry.

Opening to 2016 is Northern Illinois, @Nebraska, UC-Davis, @Eastern Michigan. Boise State made NIU look like a DII program. Not FCS, DII. We need to win that opener. 3-1 is the goal, 2-2 is the minimum or we're looking at another 2015 season.

They'll probably be in the Big Sky next year anyway. Sun Belt won't extend their inclusion passed this trial period.

They might have no choice. As a part of their inclusion to the Sun Belt was a probationary period where the conference decides if they liked them or not. Rumor is the conference loaded with east coast programs don't like travelling all the way out to rural Idaho (who knew?). If their stay is denied (likely), they'll have to find somewhere else.

So...do they really try to go Indy, or join the Big Sky as a full member? (Other sports already in the Big Sky)

And didn't they just go indy a couple years back after the fold of the WAC before they got picked up by the Sun Belt?
