I think it is interesting how some corners of the college sports world are looking at the MWC/CUSA "association"
In North Carolina, they are thinking about expansion opportunities at the eastern fringe: http://www.newsobserver.com/2012/02/16/1858528/appalachian-ecu-could-join-cusamwc.html Can you believe that they are talking about 4-team groupings that look like the old WAC-16 Pods?
New Mexico State wants in too, it seems: http://www.lcsun-news.com/las_cruces-sports/ci_19973903
You know that Utah State is looking for an opening. UTEP was not my favorite member of the old, traditional (pre-Fresno) WAC, but I would not mind seeing them come back into the fold on our side. Better UTEP than San Jose State (or Fresno for that matter).
