Meals on Wheels: Cheyenne, WY (Friday 8/24)

If you are in Cheyenne and have a ticket (or the ability to obtain a ticket) to the Meals on Wheels event tonight in Cheyenne, I highly suggest you go!!

I dont know why it has been kept a secret, but there will be a former Wyoming Cowboy football player there as a speaker! This player may have been to 3 pro bowls in the 1970's while playing for the St. Louis Cardinals...

I do not know how this could be considered a surprise or even a major speaking coup.

What this does illustrate is that sometimes the big sports stars at college really are there for the education.

Go Pokes!

Actually Ryan was there, but Conrad Dobler was the speaker. Ryan wasn't the reason Conrad came; Conrad's daughter was. I will say that Conrad Dobler is not afraid to say anything on his mind!

But yes, Ryan is hard working and intelligent and I would absolutely recommend him as an attorney purely based upon his ability to practice law.

Oh and there are a few articles that have recently been written (LA Times and ESPN article) detailing the struggles that Conrad Dobler (Sports Illustrated's "Dirtiest Player in the Game") has endured in recent years. I thought that they were well written articles.

I wish he still ran the Mangy Moose in Riverside. He used to have really good steaks there - along with a wild west bar.
