Good coaches increase competition level and increase the MWC recognition. I'd rather we not lose a P5 coach and then get a G5 or lower coach replacement. Regardless who it is helping, I'd rather Bohl be known for beating a top coach at CSU and not a nobody.

I agree 100%.

But, I also believe it's over. He's gone. Whether it be Florida, Nebraska, or another P5 conference. He will say all the wonderful things about the MWC and not let the door hit him on the ass on the way out.

Money talks.

You could be right. He seems to be on a lot of "short lists" for coaching vacancies at big programs.

CSU was overrated this year. They struggled with bad teams, but still won. This record reminds me a lot of the 96 Cowboys. Play a lot of losing teams and get the wins. Win one or two big games and give up a couple. Had CSU did this against our schedule then you could color me impressed.
But also McElwain loses a lot of firepower this year. He loses Grayson, Hart and if Higgins declares, then his top WR aswell. I don't think he wants to risk staying and rebuilding. Right now, is the right time for him if he really wants to go.

Florida's AD is in McElwain's house right now. He's gone.
Even a recruit who was supposed to come in and visit said it (his other offer was, sadly, UAB).

They just dropped football due to Bear Bryant's kid being hell bent on killing UAB's football program.

Yeah. Actually feel pretty bad for those kids. Got screwed over by a greedy bastard.

Funny how some fans of Go5 programs throw around the idea of dropping football nonchalantly, but when it finally happens for someone, there is total pandemonium. They said nobody cared about UAB football...sure didn't look that way as that AD exited to his car. He feared for his life. Terrible travesty, I feel for those athletes and the fans.

It will never happen, but if something like that occurred at UW, nobody in the GOBC would have a car not engulfed in flames.
