I like Quest, but he better play like he cares if he's going make it at the next level. He seemed so disinterested at times on the field. He has the skills no doubt.
 
So did Brett, and Herron. So did a lot of guys. Unfortunately that's what losing does. I think Quest will be alright, as long as he stays at safety.
 
Happened to be flipping channels at lunch yesterday and saw some of the Senior Bowl practice on NFL Network. They showed Qwest Huff, ironically going against a WR Huff from Oregon, during one-on-one drills. The Oregon Huff made a great catch against Qwest on a corner route. Announcers joked that they'd just witnessed a Huff on Huff crime.
 
I disagree that huff played like he didn't care. Huff was one of the players I admired because he seemed to give everything he had regardless of how ugly it was out there.
 
I'm actually quite surprised Quest is getting an NFL look. I saw him miss SO many tackles during the season. Of course, I used to joke that Tashaun Gipson never once used his arms on a tackle, and look where he is now. I think it's a strong indictment of DC that all these players are getting rave reviews at these All-Star games but he couldn't put together a team worth a shit with them on it.

more and more i am getting under the impression that most if not all positives were in spite of DC not because of him

I agree I thought he always brought passion and played with fire regardless of the score

All the more reason to remember that this is a team sport, and that a select few on either side of the ball can't do it all themselves.

Did you witness that passion on the sidelines while we were getting our asses kicked by the sheep at home? Hell he was laughing it up like he was watching an episode of key and peel. I was right there in the stands mad as a mf'er. Is that what you call passion or shall I elaborate on other instances?

I admit it......I know nothing about NFL rookie contracts so why don't you dazzle us all with your plethora of knowledge concerning the process. Because after all I am sure you are either and NFL player or a Jerry Maguire type of agent who has done this for years. I am sure you are not an overweight unathletic social recluse type of a person. 1. Petty insults are a great way to show how intelligent you are.
2. Unathletic is not a word.
3. Heresy does not equal hearsay.

To respond to your post, rookie contracts have very little negotiation in them. The effect agents have on rookie contracts is minimal, especially for guys taken later in the draft. Here are a few articles that explain the new contracts.
