Makaih Williams

I saw on Twitter that Makaih Williams just committed for next year. Does anyone want to tell me about him? Or have we talked about him on a different thread?

Linder said "late bloomer" and "live it" guy to describe him so expect someone thats going to work his ass off and improve rapidly in Laradise. Those 2 things are how Linder described Dame Lillard when he signed him at Weber State. Our staff covets guys with those 2 qualities.

From watching highlight videos you can see he loves to throw down spectacular dunks at 6'1", which is pretty damn fun to watch. He has elements of Josh Adams in his game. He attacks the rim strong and absorbs contact well.

There's video of him in the 2023 recruiting thread below. He looks like another great signing by our staff.

Hes the fifth guy on our staff/roster from the L.A. area so he's probably played a pretty high level of competition in high school.

Not really. He is an LA guy so it became likely he would do this. This could also be signaling Marc Rodgers future with the program. Pretty sure Rodgers also recruited Williams.

Mmm, I guess if he’s going to bolt now likely would bolt after his first year. Good riddance. That’s how I feel. Especially if he brings No chemistry. I do know the guys we have now, at least have built around them as a team and have been committed to Linder and UW. Those are the players I want here.
