LSU @ Bama

I figured it be about like that, since neither has much of an offense.

They each average over 39 pts a game, pretty decent offense in the toughest conference in all of the land

Alabama is 2/6 in FG's or the game never would have made it to OT and LSU just won it with a TD run in OT. NM Seems he stepped out.

Now it's over 9-6 not the scoring that I expected from Alabama but I did expect them to hold LSU to a low score.

Have Alabama's kickers been questionable all year? I hadn't noticed. Wow, that first guy was awful! One of those kicks it didnt even look like he was trying.

I have a theory that soccer's rise as a DI sport is making good kickers a rare commodity these days.

Its only a theory though. :|

It's going places as a pro sport in the U.S. as well. As much as I love playing, I hate pro soccer - even more so when it takes media attention away from the sports I love :(

I think it's more of the fact there is no emphasis on kicking in the high school and younger game. There are plenty of kids who lack the size and speed to be high school FB players, but kicking isn't glamorous enough. just my :twocents:

I would've loved to kick in football - unfortunately I got interested in football a bit too late :(
I did lack the size and speed too, though, but as of today, I think I'd do alright size-wise. I'm about 45 lbs heavier than I was in college, and haven't lost a step :)

I was a guest of someone's and went to the game. I loved it. I love defensive football. I hate Alabama so I'm glad they lost. Every time a kicker went to kick a FG I called it right. I just had that feeling......

I always think that these powerhouse programs should be able to better recruit better kickers, but ya know........

Earlier in the year I made it to the Michigan at Michigan State game but I had a hard time concentrating on the game because of other people talking to me.

Other than that I've gone to a couple of SMU games.

dang ol'!!! you're quite the traveler

make it to laramie often?

I don't get to Laramie. I've been to Princeton 1 time this year but not for a football game. I don't travel much. But this year I've gone a few places. Other than going to 2 SMU games, the 2 other games I attended I was invited by people who have known me for a long time. Today, I just stayed home and watched TV games. I recorded Wyoming's game but have only seen a few plays of it so far. Today was windy. When I went out training it blew me around.
