He's definitely got some length and athleticism. The CST article mentions pressing and pushing the tempo. All of the Edwards and Company recruits fit that profile so far.

Good get Wyo.

Go Pokes!!

“I don’t know if he’s Josh Adams, but he’s pretty close,” Edwards said. “I was very surprised with his conditioning after he came in and didn’t skip a beat. That speaks to his athleticism.

“He’s a fine-tuned machine. Only thing holding him back is everyone else has a jump-start on the implement of the system, but he’s been good. He can run and jump. He’s good at getting his shot and getting the basket. He’s a decent shooter.”

That's good to hear.

So is Louis available to play next season? It reads that way it seems to me. We needed another pg desperately to do anything in the MWC this upcoming year. I was getting worried we were going into the tank hard next year while aiming for the year after to be in the top 5. Now I'm feeling more optimistic about everything. Coach Edwards keeps getting really athletic guys and we need that to compete in the MW. Another Adams at pg is just what the doctor ordered!

So now we got another athletic guard and new athletic bigs coming in too
I hope we don't take too many lumps next year and can overachieve in all our positions. If the Pokes have a solid first year under Edwards we could setup to challenge for another conference title the year after.

Lou will be available to play this season unless he decides to redshirt or something. Lou has a couple inches on josh but the vertical and speed are pretty much the same. I think he is going to be very solid player for the pokes. From the sounds of it he has the same type of motor that Josh does. I definitely do not expect him to come in and average 24 ppg. Since Edwards has been the Head Man, him and the staff have done nothing but upgrade the roster. I honestly think we have the pieces on the team to make some noise this season. The goal is always to win a league title but not expecting anything until we see the unit in action. A lot of our players showed flashes of greatness last season. Edwards just needs to find a way to fine tune the players and make them a little more consistent. I think the future is VERY bright.

Looking at this roster it becomes very clear our perimeter guys are gonna have to carry the load. We are gonna need to hit 3's, penetrate on offense to make plays, and have sound perimeter defense. That is the only way that lineup makes noise. Our bigs won't be worse then last year so that's a plus. Moemeka as I've stated before is the spotlight guy. If he steps up into Naughton territory, then yeah we could be in business with guard play ELEVATED!
