Depends. We aren't that good but we weren't expected to be. Are we better than expected, worse, or as expected? If we are better, then I'm not sure that would be considered pathetic.

The conference as a whole is. No real strong teams, maybe a solid team or two but that is it.

Back to the OP, I don't really think Florida Atlantic would be a contender in the MWC (and I am confident that FAMU would not be :D ). Of course, neither will we.

It is amazing how weak the MWC has gotten. Remember Glenn's 2005 and 2007 teams? The 2005 team picked up a road SEC win (Ole Miss) and competed favorably in the Swamp against a Top 10 Florida team, while the 2007 team destroyed a bowl bound ACC team (UVA) in the War. Probably one of the most dominating performances I can remember against a team from any conference. Those two Poke teams combined to go 4-12 against MWC opponents.
 
3 & 1 after the first four was most of our (if not all of us) here best case scenario predictions.
