LONGHORNS IN LARAMIE- Sept 12, 2009

Still says something about the relative level of the MWC (and Wyoming in particular) that we have to agree to play 2 games in Austin, to even get them to come up to Laramie once. It's deals like this that will keep the MWC out of the "Big Boy" BCS discussion for many seasons yet to come.
 
If Wyoming can have a big season this year that game next year could be the turning point for the football program.

I agree. We need a signature win over a name BCS squad soon.

I think I read somewhere that Arkansas is finding Texas's trip to Laramie.. or at least, part of it.

Yep. There was a BIG thread about that on GWG. Also, Texas is apparently requesting 10,000 tickets for the Laramie game.

UW will balk at that request. I've been reading on GWG that they are planning to bring in bleachers for BOTH end zones for the Texas game to maximize things i.e. get as much $$ from fans as humanly possible.
 
They can have mine! :) I'll find a way in to the stadium.. provided we can still fly through airports in 2009.

You're not going? As for flying in '09, don't worry. There'll still be airlines although 3 went belly up earlier this week. 2 served Hawai'i; Aloha and ATA.

Yeah, between airlines and Montana not going with this "RealID" thing.. god knows what it's gonna be like for us to fly.

Don't hold me to this but I think I read on GWG that tickets for the Texas game could go for $100 a shot.

BTW, I 'aint never going to fly American. I rather fly United or Delta.
 
I fly whatever carries out of Missoula.. which ain't much, but we have a 3 times daily direct flight to Denver. Whoo!

$100 a shot.. maybe. Maybe by then I'll have a press pass. :thumb:
 
Wow, having the Longhors come to Laramie is great news. This should be good although, I hear that the Horns will be loaded in 09.
 
Great matchup for the Pokes. I always say you have to play the best if you want to be the best. I can't stand the cocky, shorthorns but they are a good team. I'll definitely be rooting for ya'll.
