Gives me some hope. Admittedly, I was one of those guys that was jubilant when we hired Glenn - suggesting that the worm had turned and we were going to beat the living snot out of everyone. I was also a Koolaid drinker when DC came it, hoping that we would finally have offense after Glenn's tenure. With Bohl, I am trying to be a bit more guarded - but I have hope that we might have a good head coach. I am nervous about Stanard serving as the DC, given his time at CSU and the not-so-rave reviews he gets in Fart Colons. I do like the change in the S & C mindset and look forward to hearing about how the players are reacting to those changes - mentally and physically.
The thing that I specifically noted was his reference to recruiting Nebraska and mentioning Novacek and Welniak by name. I think we will find the kid from the small school that will play with immense passion.
One question I had was, what relationship does UW have with former athletes? I know they have the W Club and all of that, but did DC seek out those guys that had won previously at UW? Did he culture their involvement here? Knowing his relationship with nearly everyone else in the state, I would guess that he didn't, but don't know for sure. And if they are distant in their relationship with the program, I would hope Bohl would seek them out to re-engage.
