But let’s look ahead to after the season and those important months before the Feb. 6 signing day for recruits.
You’re Christensen and you go into a kid’s home to meet him and his family, and the parents say: “Aren’t you the guy who went nuts on the YouTube video earlier this season?”

If you were a parent of a son being recruited by UW, wouldn’t you at least ask? And do you want your son playing for someone who did that?

I’m not passing judgment on Christensen. I’m just posing the question.
If that doesn’t come up then, it will when Christensen and his assistants are trying to convince kids that UW is the place for them.

How do you spin that?

Recruiting at UW is hard enough, but now this.

Its a very legitimate point. One Burman and the boosters certainly have on mind. The days (maybe hours?) following the final game against San Diego State will be interesting.

Good article by Gags. However, I don't see this being that big of a problem in the long run. He might have a little difficulty this offseason but if he is a good recruiter I am sure there are ways to spin this when he is explaining himself. Just be contrite and humble and embarassed about the incident. After this offseason, if he starts winning this incident will be mostly forgotten and if he doesn't start winning then he won't be here.

I agree. It wasn't as though he took a swing at one of his own players. He was angry at a cheat. Shouldn't be that tough to explain away. Lots of coaches have had public meltdowns worse than this and have enjoyed success afterwards.

I wondered if you had seen this after the discussion about the Wyoming writers not being critical of the program. Great article by Gags on the issue!
