Larry Nance...

I was a kid when Marcus Bailey went down for the year, and I am pretty sure I cried when I found out he was out for the year.
I remember thinking it was so unfair because he was a senior and that was the end of his career.

At least Nance is a junior...
But man oh man, this is the worst I have felt in a long, long time.
Worse than Brett going down against Toledo.

I...am just....way bummed.

Why does this happen to us?
We are terrible for years, then when it is looking like we are just about to become a legit team, this happens.

Why???

On the bright side, we beat a surging team without much presence at all from Grabau, Adams, and without Nance for the most important part of the game.

Boulder ...(actually, right outside Boulder city limits)... first recreational pot shop opened today.

I am shocked.

The first thing I thought when he went down was about Marcus Bailey. I was there and both were hard to watch but I remember Bailey actually let out a yell when his happened. I don't think Larry will miss a beat when he gets back but I don't think it will be this season for sure.
Not sure we will go as far as I thought in the tourney now :cry:
 
The basketball Gods are not and have not smiled on Wyoming for a long time. I was not more than 12 feet away from Marcus Bailey when he went down. Maybe I'm just bad luck. You'll be back Larry - I know because I went through it too.

if those damn referees would get control over games this woulda never happened, he was getting mugged by a bunch of thugs and he was trying to make a move to get away from there and ugh......uncalled for, I am learning to really hate Fresno St almost as much as CSU....argh.
I was at that Marcus Bailey game myself sitting courtside and saw it up front close and in person....to this day anytime one of our players goes up for a fastbreak layup i always say to that defender underneath, "don't you hurt him", I can't help it.
Although he's our leader etc.....I still see decent things for us, i think this team is really that close and the chemistry can only get better and better, 5 more I see us winning all at home 3-2 isn't too bad, imo......
as for the tourney, don't see much happening now, sure hope I'm wrong....
I still feel empty with this injury and it's gonna be tough the rest of the way.....it's time for EVERYBODY to step it up, cmon Coach Shyatt let's see what this type of adversity does for us the rest of the way!!!!
 
I don't know. I'm abc to thinking we'll limp through to the end of the season like we've done the last two years. probably lucky if we get 2 or 3 more wins. Then again, they have proven to be a good team by playing team ball, but I don't see anyone on the team stepping up in Nances place.
 
I've been around to see Mike Jackson go down, Queint Higgins go down, Marcus Bailey go down and now Larry.

The odd thing is that all of them have gone down on that same end of the court.

Seems like anytime we get something going, we get snakebit. Hope Larry has a quick recovery!
 
Nance went in this morning for the MRI.

Vorel tweeted to someone that as soon as he knows, he will tweet the results.
 
I just hope he can come back. I can't remember a Wyoming player with a knee injury coming back from it. Mike Jackson, Quint Higgins, Ugo Udezue, Marcus Bailey, and Afam Muojeke never recovered to be even close to the level they were before. I really hope that Larry can break the cycle. He's a hell of a player, and an exceptional ambassador for the team.
 
Who does Wyoming go to? Haldorson or a big body down low. I think Wyoming can do it they have the guards to do it.

Tough to be a Wyoming fan, once again.

Was a complete fluke, went down on the foot a little differently, and bam, and ACL tear.

Knees aren't made worth a shit...eh OlWyoming?!
