Kongo suspended one game

When will the league office make the call on the other two hits?

Didn't take them long with Kongo...

I will say that the AFA folks that I experienced at the game need to lighten up. My 6 year old son was getting under the skin of this 50 something year old dude at the top of the east stands, just because he was jumping around and cheering when the Pokes scored...and we were fifteen feet away. Hadn't seen than many scowls and frowns since the days of LaVell Edwards. And he wasn't the only one.

Meh, every AFA game I went to in the Springs always felt a bit like BYU*-in Provostan-light. Bunch of stiff, stuffy, cranky old birds.

If we're going to start overriding the officials and changing the outcome of games, then I want the '07 game against AFA overturned. The ground caused Demo's fumble and I'm still mad about that! It was at least a 9 point turnaround in an 8 point game.

oh, wow dont get me started. You are right, there is no way in hell that was a fumble. The next year they kicked it out of wendels hands near our end zone with a leg whip. Arg........ I'm with you, I can't to this day understand how that did not get reversed.

I find it funny that a Stanford safety was ejected last week for targeting. Kongo was not even flagged on his play, yet Kongo gets a 1 game suspensions and this safety from Stanford only has to sit out for one half of his next game...really?

That block you are talking about should have the Air Force player suspended or hitting a defenseless player because that is exactly what he did.

The rule in football means that discipline for players flagged for violations will mirror the penalty for fighting. If the foul occurs in the first half of a game, the player is ejected for the remainder of the game. If the foul occurs in the second half or overtime of a game, the player is ejected for the remainder of the game and the first half of the next contest.

The reason the Standford player is only out for half a game is it happened in the second half and he was flagged for targeting. Kongo is actually getting the shit end of the stick here because at most he should have been suspended for half a game period.

But it's way more interesting to arbitrarily hand down rulings based on whoever whines the first/loudest........reminds me of roger goodell
