LARAMIE, Wyo. - New Mexico and Wyoming have been playing football for a long time.

In fact, Saturday’s Mountain West opener for both (1 p.m. at War Memorial Stadium) will be the 68th meeting between the two football programs. Not only is this series the Pokes’ fourth longest in football, it is their second longest active series (only Colorado State is longer).

I'm with you RTJ1, maybe because since 2002 I think I've seen more Wyoming UNM games in person than any other match-up.

I already talked to the bball only schools, they're all in on forming a super conference. Wichita, go zags, long beach st, Pepperdine, and I'm letting DEnver U in too just for Wyoming. I'm willing to have 20+ team for basketball but want 16 for football to Allow a playoff of 4 or 8 teams



Yeah New Mexico is a great rival for UW. Obv the 2 Colorado schools are but I also love being in a conference w UNLV, Hawaii, and even San Diego.
