just can't do it...

See you have that wrong for me. I can't root for UNLV and SDSU. New Mexico and CSU I am fine with
 
I can root for anyone that hasn't been douche bags and bailed for a new conference creating a shit storm out of the MWC. So that means everyone but SDSU has me cheering for them.
 
In theory, you should root for everyone in our conference to do well. The further they go, the more money that gets split up among all the conference teams.
 
Yep... I get that the more everyone wins, we get some more money.... BUT... I have a hard time rooting for someone that is leaving our conference for something supposedly better, which I hope bites them really hard. As our biggest rivals, I will never, ever be able to root for CSU. Do you think that anyone from Duke ever roots for NC? Even though their in the same conference?? NO WAY!!

Therefore, I will root for NM and UNLV. No on CSU and SDSU!!!
 
CSU and SDSU will not make it out of the 1st round anyway, I have UNLV winning but then getting beat next round.......let's hope we can have a rematch of UW-TCU in the CBI as well....
don't get me wrong I'd like to see the MWC schools do well, just don't think it'll happen
GO POKES....make a deep run in the CBI, too bad it's spring break with students gone
 
How does San diego state get a 14 seed and csewe an 11 seed? That makes no sense. csewe did not have one quality road win the entire season. Their only road win in the conference was air farce. San diego st. gets stuck with Baylor in the first round. Someone hates Steve Fisher!

SDSU is a 6 seed.

I know what they did. They saw SDSU (South Dakota State University) as the 14 seed playing Baylor. ;)

That's exactly right. I haven't been paying that much attention and thought wtf? South Dakota st. made it? Wow. I couldn't even tell you what conference they're in or what their nickname is.

Same conference as North Dakota State, the Summit League. Oh, and their mascot is the Jackrabbits (although they are commonly called the Jacks) :thumb:

The word "rival" implies a certain level of begrudging respect. For over 100 years, CSU has, indeed, been our rival. For several decades, many considered BYU to be our "biggest" rival, but the respect implicit to the term is absent. Therefore, BYU is beneath rivalry- more an anathema, and SDSU has now achieved the same status.
 
I'm with 7220fan. I'll be rooting for New Mexico and UNLV. Colorado State and SDSU are on my shit list this year big time. CSU just because I feel like Wyoming should have done what they did this year. Beating them by 19 and then winning 95% of that game in Fort Collins just makes me hate that they're in the dance playing a winnable game and we didn't even get an NIT bid. I know why it turned out that way, it just stings. Then there's SDSU. Ever since BYU and Utah left I feel like the SDSU fans filled their places admirably. So arrogant and full of themselves. Seeing the way Jamaal Franklin conducts himself on the court just further cements it. When Nance tried to help him up and Franklin shoved him it was the icing on the cake.

UNLV surprisingly has stayed on my good list despite the "Lopez flop" and Musamba getting knocked down by Jaydee. I'm not sure why but I can tolerate them more than the other 2 teams. New Mexico I have no beef with.
