Give Welniak 3 years. Give Wallwork 3 years. They would have had astounding numbers too. We have had those sorts of quarterbacks at UW.

My point is not to bag on Brett - he is owed his due. Certainly one of the Top 5 QBs to play at UW - taking it a step further - Top 3. This said, if we would have had an O-line and an ability to run the ball, he wouldn't have had to have done it all. We didn't and he did.

Would have, should have, Could have. Plain and simple never happened you can't say " given x amount of time someone could be as good " in terms of a Cowboy QB this is the best we have ever had.

I agree some of those past QB's given the time might have been but to this point imo just not the case.

I just disagree. I certainly understand your argument though. Brett was great. No question.

during the busiest time of year, and full of stress, I received four autographed pictures for my kids from the Smith family. All addressed my kids by name, personal photos and autographed by Brett. I am a huge fan of the Smith family. He is so much more of a person than even a football player.

That doesn't happen anymore. Oh yeah, and because they can't technically accept money for it, they did it all and shipped them on their dime. Holy hell. Talk about good good people.

I wasnt putting down the Smith guy, I was just giving you my perspective that living in Minnesota and following college sports and being at the Wyoming/Nebraska game I didnt know the name....thus I was surprised he went pro.early....
