Josh Adams Memories

I thought I would start a topic about sharing some of your favorite memories about Josh.

1. Mine would be (I posted this earlier) the corner 3 against SDSU. I was so nervous about that game! Then he hit that shot and I went crazy!
2. I remember the first time watching him in person he blocked a Boise players layup off the backboard and I couldn't believe how high he was.

Lets hear your best memories about Josh.

He has too many highlights to count, but in terms of a complete game last year against SJSU at home was one of my favorite games of his I got to see live. Nance was still out with mono, but Josh finally figured out how to take over that game (I think it served as a great springboard for this year). He had some ridiculous and-1's, and he had a silky smooth full court bounce pass to Herndon.

Watching that makes me miss DC.

I'll always remember the home games this year vs. Cal and UNLV. Two of the greatest two-way performances I've ever seen.

In all seriousness Josh is one of my all time favorites to ever watch. I have never seen a player like him ever really, at any level. He has become the total package offensively becoming a high volume 3 point shooter to go along with his devastating penetration. Ever since he was a freshman his defense has always been stellar and he has always held his own against guys 6 inches taller than him. I also appreciate his competitive nature. You can tell he absolutely hates to lose.

There may have been better players at Wyoming, but if you were playing a pick up game for your life and got to choose your starting 5 from all Wyoming players I think I'd have to pick Josh on that team.

The only reason I don't want this season to end is because I don't want Josh's career at Wyoming to end

with my time on earth and really only starting to follow UW sports since i was 12(1982) and at best TV wasn't what it is now, Josh has to be the most explosive best shooting guard since that time we've probably ever seen, there were good ones but not ones that left you picking up your jaw. I grew up in Buffalo and it wasn't easy to get to Laramie during the heyday of Fennis, Eric and Sean, and i started during the Slater years. Hence part of the problem seeing them live, as replay isn't as easy to see, you always had to replay it in your mind to see if you really saw what you saw. There are way too many spectaular plays i've seen live and on tv to count so no one stands out in my mind, they all rocked. Being at the MWC tourney vs SDSU and when he hit that 3 is one that i'll probably never forget. and i was in school during Mo Alexander...lol..... I truly wish nothing but the best for this hardworking deserving kid nothing but success, and hope he dazzles at the NBA combine, he should get picked up by someone, even if not i'd tune into the D League if it goes that way.
Thanks for everything Mr. Josh Adams, and yes I'll be there Wednesday Mar. 2 for your well deserved senior night. Thanks again

I remember several games last season where Josh would get a steal and breakaway dunk. Seemed like there was going to be 1 a game.

The big time Fennis Dembo jersey dunk vs CSU.

5 straight Border War victories!

Him running with the ball up the court after the buzzer went off vs SDSU in the MW Championship!!!

So many!!!

One that hasn't been mentioned but stands out to me, was even the background on my computer for a while, was that dunk he had last year against southern, where his whole forearm was in the hoop

That's my favorite dunk of his (favorite moment is MWCT championship game for obvious reasons). I swear he was still accelerating when he got to the rim. The speed and power of that dunk was just awesome.

His block against Boise State at the AA in Laramie when he was a Soph. Didn't realize what kind of hops he had until that moment!

I'd say for me it was the 2014 MWC tournament when we were playing UNLV on their "home court" without Nance. I've been to the tourney every year in the 2000's and the UNLV fans are the smuggest fans in the conference. Anyway before the game and during the early stages all the UNLV fans sitting in my section were mocking Adams saying how "He was terrible," "Thug," and "just a ball hog". He was absolutely dominate in the first half highlighted by his baptism of Kim Birch the defensive player of the year that season. The attitude of the UNLV fans towards Adams completed changed throughout the game from mocking to begrudging admiration and then to outright amazement.

Does anyone know of video of Josh's speech last night? Definitely one of my favorite memories now.
It was getting a little dusty in there when he was talking to the crowd. Josh will be missed
