Joe Lunardi Video: Bracketology on Wyoming

Just win. We can't control anything except how we play

Agreed. That is all we can do. He also still has CSU in the tournament even though we swept them. Florida A&M and Stetson are going to kill us.

Be sweet if our bench shows up the rest of the year like last night and we just win out the rest of the way.

The worst part about an nit run would be no home games during tourney.

That is what I was thinking also but others said we will get home games because they are going to hold off on construction until April I guess.

I hope that's legit. Of course I want the NCAA tourney but high seed in nit would be a reasonable post season I suppose if it isn't meant to be.

The worst part would be to see our current seniors never see the NCAA tournament when they have been so close.

Definitely have to win the remainder of the easy games, The way I see it we have to be able to beat everyone that is left. I know it's hard to believe but this is how I see it.

New Mexico lost at home to Boise and UNLV got beat at home by New Mexico and Nevada, We beat all those teams so far and I think people seeding for the Tournament will look at it and say if Boise can go into New Mexico and beat the Lobos Wyoming should be able to do it as well. I feel they will say the exact same thing about Nevada beating UNLV at home if we even one more game and don't win the MWC Tournament it's NIT or CBI.

It's going to be a very long month.

Technically, we only have to beat everyone we play in the MWC tourney

Ok smart ass, I was talking about for an at large birth lol.

I heard they aren't starting the construction until may. Won't affect any NIT or god forbid CBI.

Another reason why we should've quit messing around with CSU last night and beat them by 30. 59-48 just doesn't cut it, but 72-45 would have been a statement and likely gotten us into the big dance. Just winning isn't enough. The FINAL score needs to look good. The selection committee didn't watch last nights game, all they do is look at the FINAL SCORE.

Or they see we held the MWC top offense to 48 points and swept them.

 Sorry, couldn't help it.

BTW, I think you are right for the at large birth.

I would go ape if CSU gets an at-large bid and we don't. How in the hell could they put them in before us after we just swept them? No reasonable human could do that

They will start construction immediately after post season practices are complete. So if that means we go to the big dance, construction starts once they board the plane. Not sure if we'll be able to host any games or not if we get nit or cbi. The latest updates I've gotten are that we will not. I think we will turn down any invites to anything less than the nit.

They don't even look at the score. We could have won by 1 or 100. It wouldn't matter.

There may be one (Barnes) or two members of the committee that will truly know anything about Wyoming. All they will see is the W-L (Home, Road, Neutral), the RPI, the SOS, the results against different categories (vs. RPI Top 25, Top 50, Top 100, etc.).

The NCSOS and resulting low RPI is what will kill us. The lack of quality wins will kill BSU and CSU. One-bid league is in play right now if SDSU wins the regular season and MWCT.

I think 16 overall wins between MWC play and the MWCT is still the minimum to get us into the conversation. I think CSU needs 13 and I think BSU needs 14 (with one of those being SDSU). Very possible that none will match that threshold.

The UNM loss at AFA was a sneakily damaging game for MWC bubble teams. Really needed UNM or UNLV to finish in the top 100 to give us some other Top 100 wins. That looks less likely for the Lobos now.

This isn't the football polls. Scores really won't matter come selection Sunday, W's and L's is what they will be looking at. They will see UW-2W and CSU-2L when comparing head to head. That is all that really matters.

Agree with 16 wins but I think 16 gets us in for sure I still think that 15 will get us in the conversation(last 4 in-last 4 out)

I read somewhere that construction will go THRU next season, so it doesn't really matter if they start in March or May as it's slated to be done in the summer of 2016.
