I'm great with either one.
I think that both have the tools to win next year. Big deal there.
The irony here is that both were the top assistants at their respective schools, therefore who they choose for each ones right hand man is paramount. Recruiting and skill development will mask a lot of in-game management snafu's. I would give the edge to Shyatt and his network of potential assistants.
In my opinion though Joe may have the higher ceiling. I think that he has learned a ton under Self, who is a helluva tactician. I know.......VCU. He may have an edge at this point of being the better closer for the top-notch recruits. He just has to harness that temper a bit when he's in the head chair. Explosive guy there.
I still think Shyatt gets the job...
