Jay Sawvel named head coach

Secondly, we've rehashed this many times. But the defense wasn't all that great this year and the offense needs a complete make over. Our offense was 11th out of 12 teams in yards per game this year.
I don't see how this hire is going to rectify our most glaring problems. After 10 years of pretty dismal offense, I would have thought a new perspective on the program would be appropriate. I hope I'm wrong. I usually am so maybe this will work out great.

I like Sawvel the person but wonder if is far better coordinator than head coach. I think of Fritz Shurmer who was bad head coach but an absolute legend as a defense coordinator. Maybe Sawvel is just better suited to be a coordinator. I wonder how much his hands have been tied when it come to his staff

The comment you're referencing was in regards to your extreme vitriol to a person who has approximately zero impact on your day-to-day life. It's not far-flung to think that he had harmed you personally, hence the comment.

As far as bothering yourself "with opinions of morons", you should add "narcissitic personality disorder" to your list of things to look up.

The difference between us and New Mexico is night and day. The Lobos are a bad team that have been bad since Rocky left. They need a fresh start. We're a decent team, and have been for a decade. That's a pretty good starting point to build off of. I'd rather see us keep the culture and grow than blow it all up and start over.
