This guy has speed and a solid arm, It's hard to see what type of safety he would play but these videos make me think he would be a solid QB even under Bohl.

That guy looks like Jeff.

You would have to think a coaches son, who happens to be Irish, and has pretty good wheels would make a good safety.

Yes so? You saying Doug Flutie wasn't a good QB?

Has his dad offered him a chance to play at CU? Gary Andersen was allowed to do that at USU.

Dan Hawkins had his son play QB for himat CU.

Yeah, that worked out well.

Not say it WOULDN'T work, but it is something to keep in mind.

He played at Monarch High School, mainly a running team and always high in the Colorado rankings. He WILL NOT go to a school that he doesn't think he will be the QB. That's why he is very doubtful for CU. If nobody wants him for QB then (or is it than) he may be forced into another position.

Being that small is tough for a QB. Boise has that kid Patti who destroyed people at the 8A level in Florida and his size still holds him back big time. Sure there are guys like Flutie and Wilson....but for every one of those guys, there's 100s that didn't make it.

Plus, height/weight tends to be exaggerated to aide the players recruitment. 5-10, 178 lbs? Yeesh....I don't want to know how small he really is.

Especially hard for a short QB in a pro-style offense, no? He is expected to mostly stay in the pocket, which means he's gotta see over those huge linemen to find throwing lanes.

Bohl also seems to like big strong QBs. Bet he translates to a slot receiver or safety at the next level.

Personally I don't think that he will end up at Wyoming. The young man is being recruited by CU as a safety because that is what the CU coach thinks his son is most suited for. I would be very surprised if Wyoming was willing to sign him as a QB despite his talents. Coach Bohl didn't have a QB on his roster at NDSU under 6-3 and this young man appears to be most suited for an option team. If no one is willing at the FBS level to sign him as a QB then he will have two options, go down to a FCS school to play as a QB or sign with an FBS school as a safety.....and if he is offered as a safety by CU and Wyoming, where do you think he will sign? But who knows, maybe the kid comes to Wyoming and loves it and thinks that it is best for him not to play for his dad in college, and he ends up signing with Wyoming with the agreement that if it doesn't work out at QB at Wyoming that he agrees to switch to safety at Wyoming.
