Is All the Re-alignment Due to 1 Year of a TV Contract?

Without the BCS AQ in 2014, it looks to me like all the Big East has to offer is one more year of a decent TV contract. Because based on the looks of it now, their negotiations for a bigger contract after 2015 are dead. They have nothing long term to offer any prospective member. The MWC would be in such good shape if we even had a contract worth $2.5 Million per year, per member.

It's sad that TV has distorted football so much that teams will jump to the Big East for so little, now.

What is the deal with the MWC contract? It seems to be a huuuugggeee stumbling block to the conference and its stability over the coming years. Another nice flaming pile of dog crap that BYU negotiated, washed their hands of, now blames everyone else for, and we are left to deal with (grammar police will just have to deal...).

The TV contract with CSTV was based on The Mtn getting reasonable distribution, which it never did.

BYU swears they were told they could keep their 3rd tier rights to broadcast home games on BYU TV, but that wasn't in the contract they signed.

Then CBS bought CSTV, and all the deals were off. We're stuck with a steaming pile.
