Interesting that we don't get respect from local sportswrite

The local sportswriter has rated CSU and BSU above us..even though we beat them both...How sad!!

I'm not surprised by it really. The way we have been playing lately with Nance out I would rank a few teams above us. We have won 2 games in a row but they were against the bottom two teams in the conference. I think a lot of it has to do with people thinking Nance wouldn't be back this quick or thinking he won't play as well because he has been sick so they are waiting to see how we look with Nance playing.

Things can change a lot week to week in college basketball. The perception of Wyoming next week at this time could be a lot better if we were to blow out Fresno St. and then handle UNLV on the road and Nance is looking like the POY again. If we lose one of those games we will probably look about the same to others as we do right now.

Yes, Nevada and SJSU are not the best gauges. However, Nevada did beat UNM the game before us. And that come from behind win showed me something.....the Pokes can play without Larry. Thankfully we won't have to worry about that. But, without Nance, the Pokes were +1 on the Brandenburg scale.

probably true, if we win then the talk is all on us again, if we lose one of the next 2 then it's back to look at who they played and lost too, etc...etc....it never changes around here, unless hopefully the team wants to change their mantra and take a 5-0 streak going into the tourney, which i'll be all for, big time!!!
